Board Moves October 26, 2023

Tara Berrie has resigned as non-executive director of ChemX Materials, an Australian-based high-purity critical materials company. Ms Berrie joined the board in February this year. She is based in the US and has experienced increased demands in her current executive role.

Helios Energy has appointed its co-founder John Kenny as non-executive director.

Lachlan Star has completed the acquisition of TRK Resources and its wholly-owned portfolio of copper-gold exploration assets in the Lachlan Fold Belt in NSW from ASX-listed DevEx Resources. As part of this transaction, it has appointed DevEx’s managing director Brendan Bradley and executive director Stacey Apostolou to its board as non-executive directors. Bernard Aylward, non-executive director since 2018, has resigned from the board.

Lanthanein Resources has appointed Tom Langley has non-executive director. Mr Langley has extensive experience in exploration and mining geology. He has overseen large-scale resource definition drill programs, early-stage project evaluation, project generation and grassroots exploration programs across multiple commodities and deposit types.

Province Resources has advised that at its upcoming AGM on 28 November, Peter Wall will succeed Patrick Burke as non-executive chair. Mr Wall is a corporate lawyer and a partner of corporate law firm Steinepreis Paganin.

Rio Tinto has appointed James (Joc) O’Rourke as non-executive director. Mr O'Rourke has more than 25 years of experience across the mining and minerals industry.

Wildcat Resources has restructured its leadership team as it progresses the evaluation and development of the Tabba Tabba Lithium Project near Port Hedland. It has appointed non-executive director Ajanth Saverimutto as managing director & chief executive from February 2024, Tim Manners as chief financial officer, and Samuel Ekins will transition from managing director to technical director. Mr Manners is an experienced mining industry professional and will be leaving his role as chief financial officer of Ramelius Resources in late January 2024 to support an effective transition.

Edward Clarke has stepped down as managing director of Yojee. Mr Clarke co-founded the company in 2016. The company has appointed Darren Palfrey, chief revenue officer since August 2022, as chief executive; and Mark Connell, chief product officer since October 2020, will take up additional executive responsibilities and become chief product & technology officer.
