Board Moves November 1, 2021

Arafura Resources has appointed Darryl Cuzzubbo as non-executive director. Mr Cuzzubbo has extensive experience in running major operational assets within the resources and manufacturing sectors, and led the development and execution of significant breakthrough strategies to deliver major projects. Peter Sherrington will step down as joint company secretary but remains a chief financial officer.

Stephen Dennis and Jeremy King will be retiring from the board of Burgundy Diamond Mines at the upcoming AGM. Mr Dennis is the non-executive chair and has served on the board since August 2012. Mr King has been an independent non-executive director since February 2016. Kim Truter, non-executive director since September 2020, will become non-executive chair.

Hazer Group has appointed Dr Jack Hamilton as an independent non-executive director, and Dr Andrew Harris will retire from the board at the upcoming AGM on 8 December. Dr Hamilton is a highly experienced senior executive and board director with extensive expertise across technology development, operations and manufacturing, project management, business development and commercial ventures.

Priyank Thapliyal is no longer the chief executive of Jupiter Mines. In the interim, recently appointed directors Peter North and Scott Winter have been appointed acting chair and acting chief executive respectively.

Minerals 260 has appointed Emma Scotney as an independent non-executive director. Ms Scotney is a highly experienced business advisor and corporate lawyer with over 25 years spent in the property, agricultural and mining industries.

Suzie Foreman has taken over from Jessamyn Lyons as joint company secretary of NickelSearch. Mrs Foreman is a Chartered Accountant specialising in the provision of corporate advisory services to ASX-listed entities and startup enterprises.

Resolute Mining has appointed Simon Jackson as non-executive director, replacing Yasmin Broughton who has resigned after almost four and a half years on the board. Mr Jackson is an experienced director and has over 25 years spent in the management of mining companies, with many of those in Africa.

KordaMentha, the administrators for Salt Lake Potash, has advised that Tony Swiericzuk has resigned as a director and chief executive, with Peter Thomas and Rebecca Morgan also resigning as non-executive directors.

Seafarms Group has appointed current chief executive Mick McMahon as executive chair. He takes over from Ian Trahar who will remain a non-executive director. Mr Trahar has been on the board since 2001. Recently appointed chief financial officer Ian Brannan has also been appointed an executive director and will take on the additional role of company secretary following the resignation of Harley Whitcombe.
