Kobi Zecharia, an experienced financial professional, has been appointed a non-executive director of life science company eSense-Lab. Mr  Zecharia has been the chief executive, chair, board member and co-founder of several hi-tech companies and is also an experienced investment banker, having worked for more than 20 years for several of the leading investment banks in Israel.

JiJun Liu, non-executive director of Metro Mining and representative of China Xinfa Group Corporation, passed away suddenly after a short illness. Mr  Liu joined the board of Metro Mining in 2015, having served as non-executive director of its subsidiary company, Cape Alumina, since 2008.

SmartTrans Holdings has assessed the composition of its board to determine the optimum structure for the company’s size and operations, and has announced some changes. Tracy Colgan, Mark Ziirsen and Ian Tang have stepped down as non-executive directors; executive director Scott McIntosh will also step down as a director but maintains his executive role as chief operating officer and also acts as alternate director for Warren Preston; and non-executive chair Hon Mark Vaile AO will resign at the end of June 2018. The changes to the board’s composition are in line with the company’s overall operational objectives and its clearly-stated focus on opportunities in logistics and workforce solutions.
