Hugo Schumann has been appointed executive director of Apollo Minerals.  Mr  Schumann is an experienced mining executive and worked with Apollo Minerals on its acquisition of the remaining 20% of the Couflens Project, the now-completed acquisition of the Aurenere Project in Spain, and the recent successful A$6million equity financing for the company.

Damon Neaves has been appointed non-executive director of Tap Oil. Between 2003 and 2008, Mr  Neaves was the company’s commercial manager and business development manager and was involved in several major value-accretive transactions.

Talga Resources has appointed Cambridge-based Dr FengMing Liu as senior scientist, batteries. He will be responsible for developing graphene for silicon and other new generation Li-ion battery anodes under ‘Safevolt’, a Talga-led project granted financial assistance under the UK Government’s ‘Faraday’ program.

Devinder Singh Ahluwalia has resigned as non-executive director of Legacy Iron Ore, as a result of attaining his superannuation from NMDC in accordance with any NMDC director reaching retirement age.

Graham Riley has joined the board of Zenith Minerals as non-executive director.  Mr  Riley is a qualified legal practitioner and after 10 years in legal practice as a partner of a Perth commercial firm, he resigned to pursue interests in the resources and exploration sector. He was non-executive chair of several ASX-listed companies.

Nick Cernotta has been appointed non-executive director of Panoramic Resources. Mr  Cernotta has a distinguished career in the public and private sectors of the mining industry and he joins the company as it progresses towards a re-start of the Savannah Project.

Threat Protect Australia has appointed Simon Whybrow as chief commercial officer and Karen Haynes as chief financial officer. Mr  Whybrow has been with the company since May 2016 and was chief financial officer and company secretary since December 2016. He will continue as company secretary. Ms  Haynes joined the company in December 2017 as group financial controller.
