Board Moves May 1, 2020

Grant Mooney, non-executive chair of Aurora Labs, will take on the additional role of company secretary following the departure of Steven Wood.

George Sakalidis will be stepping down from the board of Image Resources as exploration director at the upcoming AGM at the end of May, but will remain in his executive role as head of exploration. Mr  Sakalidis is a founding director and has been involved in exploration activities since its listing in July 2002.

Kalium Lakes has appointed Brent Smoothy and Mark Sawyer as non-executive directors. Mr  Smoothy is a business owner of multiple companies that undertake pastoral, aviation, logistics, aggregate production and construction activities in Australia. He is also a co-founder and shareholder of Kalium. Mr  Sawyer is a co-founder of Greenstone Resources, which has a significant shareholding in the company. Co-Founder Rudolph van Niekerk has stepped down as executive director having provided expert technical and development guidance to the company since its inception, but will continue in his executive capacity as chief development officer.

After three and a half years with the company, Kevin Hart has retired as company secretary of Kogi Iron. Ray Ridge has been appointed as his replacement. Mr  Ridge has broad corporate governance experience and has acted as company secretary for ASX-listed companies.

Michael McAnearney, Richard Beresford, Gregory Vesey and Michael Steuert have all resigned from the board of Liquefied Natural Gas as the company enters voluntary administration. Andrew Gould has also resigned as company secretary.

Chris Quirk has resigned as non-executive director of OBJ to focus on new and existing business ventures. Dr  Quirk has served on the board since November 2004.

Saracen Mineral Holdings has appointed experienced human resources and accounting executive Sally Langer as an independent non-executive director. Ms  Langer has over 25 years of experience in professional services across a variety of sectors and had recently retired as managing director of management consulting and executive recruitment firm Derwent Executive.

Stephen Hunt has resigned as non-executive director of Volt Resources. Mr Hunt has been on the board since 2015 and was executive chair until 2017. Current chief executive Trevor Matthews has been appointed managing director.
