Great Northern Minerals has appointed Kim Robinson as non-executive chair and Simon Coxhell as technical director. Mr Robinson has extensive experience in the minerals exploration and mining industries. Mr Coxhell is a geologist with 34 years of experience encompassing all aspects of the resource sector, and will join the board in April. Gerard King has announced his intention to retire as non-executive chair at the end of March.
Greg Smith has been appointed an executive director of Hawkstone Mining. Mr Smith has over 45 years of experience as an exploration and mine geologist across Australia, North America, Africa and South East Asia. He was Hawkstone’s technical manager responsible for the exploration of the Big Sandy Sedimentary Lithium Project located in Arizona, USA. Oonagh Malone has resigned as non-executive director but remains the company secretary.
Oakdale Resources has appointed Joseph van den Elsen to the board as non-executive director, following the resignation of John Lynch. Mr van den Elsen has extensive experience in South America and is the managing director of CMN Mining, a privately-held exploration and development company advancing a coal project in Colombia.
Gary Comb has been appointed executive chair of Pacifico Minerals. Mr Comb has over 35 years of local and international experience within the mining industry, across a variety of commodities. Richard Monti, non-executive chair since October 2009, will transition to the role of a non-executive director.
Cliff Lawrenson has resigned as non-executive director of multi-disciplinary engineering and contracting firm Primero Group. The company has appointed Mark Pensabene, who has over 20 years of operational and management experience in the engineering and construction sectors, as executive general manager.
