Board Moves July 11, 2022

Canyon Resources has advised that founder and former managing director Phillip Gallagher has stepped down from the board but will continue to provide consulting services as required. Chief executive Jean-Sebastien Boutet will lead the company and drive the funding and construction phases of its Minim Martap Bauxite Project.

Dr Alistair Cowden has resigned as executive chair of Firefinch. Current non-executive director Brett Fraser will take over as chair.

Mike Sutton will be resigning as managing director and chief executive of MACA on 22 July, following his decision to bring forward his retirement plans. David Greig, who has been with the company since June 2016 and as chief development officer since August 2021, will take over as chief executive.

Peak Rare Earths has advised that from 15 August, Russell Scrimshaw has been appointed executive chair, current non-executive chair Tony Pearson will continue as deputy chair, and managing director Bardin Davis will step down from the board to focus on his executive duties as chief executive. Mr Scrimshaw is a corporate executive and company director with extensive experience in large scale mining project development and operations, product marketing, finance, business development and technology.
