AusCann Group Holdings has appointed Max Johnston and Krista Bates as non-executive directors, with Mr Johnston becoming chair following the departure of Cheryl Edwardes on January 19. Mr Johnston is a highly regarded health care industry director with a wealth of executive and pharmaceutical experience. Mrs Bates has over 18 years of expertise in the legal field and is a partner of Lavan, specialising in corporate law and is head of mining & resources.
Big River Gold has made some changes to its board following the completion of the definitive feasibility study for the Borborema Gold Project. Executive director Andrew Richards has been appointed executive chair, replacing Stephen Copulos who will be retiring as non-executive chair at the end of the year. John Cathcart and Beau Nicholls have been appointed non-executive directors. Both have extensive experience in the international resources sector, corporate management and finance, as well as Brazilian operational experience.
Matthew Bull will join the board of Castillo Copper as non-executive director at the end of December. Mr Bull is an experienced geologist responsible for managing numerous exploration projects in remote locations in Australia & Sub-Saharan Africa. He replaces Peter Smith who will resign from the board at the end of the year, but remains a consultant. Alan Armstrong has also resigned as chief financial officer and remains a consultant to the company.
Dacian Gold has appointed Leigh Junk as managing director and chief executive on January 6, succeeding Rohan Williams who will be departing as executive chair and chief executive. Ian Cochrane, current non-executive director, will become non-executive chair on that date. Mr Junk is an experienced mining executive with over 25 years of operations and corporate experience.
John Kolenda has resigned as non-executive director of The Agency Group Australia. At the same time, the company has appointed current interim chair Andrew Jensen as chief operating officer and Arjan van Ameyde as chief financial officer. Both appointments will commence in February 2020.
Dr Horst Kreuter, experienced businessman and engineering geologist, has joined the board of Vulcan Energy Resources as executive director. Dr Kreuter is chief executive of Geothermal Group Germany Gmbh and Geothermal Engineering Gmbh, and is based in Karlsruhe which is local to Vulcan’s Zero Carbon Lithium™ project area in the Upper Rhine Valley.
