Board Moves December 14, 2020

Sam Smart will replace Rebecca Broughton as company secretary of Carawine Resources in the new year. Mr Smart has considerable experience advising companies in all aspects of corporate law, and has held both director and company secretary positions with ASX-listed companies.

Garry Plowright will step down from his executive role at Fenix Resources and move into a non-executive director role from January 2021.

Mike Bell has been appointed chief executive of First Graphene, replacing Craig McGuckin who will retire as managing director at the end of this month after eight years with the company. Mr Bell has over 20 years of experience in engineering and business management, and significant international experience driving business growth.

Timothy Morrison has resigned as non-executive director of Galena Mining. Mr Morrison has been with the company since 2017 and played an instrumental role in the completion of the ASX initial public offering and the acquisition of the company’s assets including its flagship Abra Base Metals Project.

Globe Metals & Mining has appointed Ricky Lau as non-executive director, with Alex Ko resigning from the board after 6 years of service. Mr Lau has over 20 years of experience in the private equity investment industry in Asia and is the managing partner of Crane Capital, a real estate private equity company focusing on Asia.

Michael Rosenstreich will commence as managing director of Helix Resources on 11 January 2021, while Peter Lester will transition from being an executive chair to a non-executive chair. Mr Rosenstreich has over 30 years of experience as a geologist in exploration and mining, and as a resources financier with NM Rothschild & Sons. He will be tasked with taking Helix forward in developing its Cobar copper and gold assets.
