Board Moves August 16, 2022

African Gold has appointed Phillip Gallagher as managing director. Mr Gallagher was the co-founder and managing director of ASX-listed Canyon Resources for the past 12 years. His extensive experience in mineral exploration in West Africa will prove invaluable in the company’s exploration and development programs in Cote D’Ivoire and Mali. Glen Edwards, who has been with the company since 2018, has resigned as chief executive & exploration manager and will be available during this handover period until 3 October.

Metals Australia has appointed Alexander Biggs as a non-executive director. Mr Biggs has over 20 years of mining industry and financial experience, and has managed exploration and development projects in Canada and Australia. He has recent experience in the battery minerals sector, and is familiar with both the Canadian & North American mining jurisdictions and capital markets.

Adam Schofield has resigned as executive director of Nelson Resources, and Dan Smith has been appointed a non-executive director. Mr Schofield has been with the company since July 2016 and was involved in the company’s listing in 2017. Mr Smith has over 15 years of primary and secondary capital markets expertise. He has advised on, and been involved in, over a dozen IPOs, RTOs and capital raisings on the ASX, AIM and NSX.

Neurotech International has appointed Dr Tom Duthy as a consultant with a focus on investor relations and strategic corporate development, and as an executive director from September. Dr Duthy has over 18 years of direct financial market and executive level & board experience with ASX-listed companies. Neurotech has also appointed current non-executive director Mark Davies as chair, succeeding Brian Leedman who along with Krista Bates have resigned from the board. Non-executive directors Allan Cripps and Gerald Quigley will also become director of science & innovation and director of public relations respectively.

Andrew Metcalfe has taken over from Alastair Beard and Phillip MacLeod as company secretary of Vortiv. Mr Metcalfe is an experienced Chartered Secretary and governance advisor with more than 25 years of experience across a broad industry base, including ASX-listed companies.

Xantippe Resources has appointed Damon Cox as company secretary and Ranko Matic as chief financial officer. Both Mr Cox and Mr Matic are part of the team at Consilium Corporate which offers corporate advisory, corporate management, CFO and corporate governance services. They replace Jenine Owen and Matthew Foy, who were chief financial officer and company secretary respectively.
