Wayne Trumble and Philip Clark have retired as non-executive directors of African Energy Resources, but will continue to provide consultancy services when required.
Amani Gold has appointed executive director and chief technical officer Jacky Sik Lap Chan as managing director and chief executive. Grant Thomas will transition from a non-executive role to become the company’s technical director. It has also appointed Antony Truelove as non-executive director, following the resignations of Klaus Eckhof and Susmit Shah as non-executive directors. Experienced mining executive and chartered accountant Craig McPherson will replace Susmit Shah as company secretary.
Martin Pyle has retired as managing director of Aurora Minerals, having been appointed to the position in May 2010. The company has appointed Geoffrey Laing as chief executive, with the intention of becoming managing director after an initial 3-month period. Mr Laing has 25 years of mining industry experience and has held directorships in several listed mining companies.
Alexander Wibowo has been appointed managing director of Kangaroo Resources. Mr Wibowo is a senior executive of PT Bayan Resources, the largest shareholder and parent entity of Kangaroo Resources, and is seconded to the role to manage Kangaroo’s day-to-day affairs with the primary focus of advancing the company’s coal projects in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Jim Hallam has joined MMJ PhytoTech as chief financial officer. Mr Hallam is an experienced senior finance executive. He replaces Lisa Dea who will retain her role as chief financial officer of Harvest One Cannabis.
Dr Volker Mirgel has been appointed non-executive chair of Dotz Nano, replacing interim chair Ashley Krongold who will remain as the company’s non-executive director. Dr Mirgel has a 34-year career with Bayer and served in multiple technical, marketing and general management functions in Europe, Asia Pacific and US prior to his retirement in 2013.
Ean Alexander has joined the board of Nzuri Copper as non-executive director. Mr Alexander has more than 15 years of corporate finance, investment and operational experience across a variety of sectors and jurisdictions including developed and emerging markets.
Current non-executive director Kevin Lines has been appointed interim non-executive chair of Ramelius Resources, following the recent passing of Bob Kennedy. The board will evaluate its current structure and composition, and consider the appointment of another director.

Mr Clark is a senior executive and engineer with 25 years of experience in operations, development and funding with corporate and operational expertise in nickel, gold and copper. He will drive the company’s transition from explorer to operator through its flagship Goongarrie Nickel-Cobalt Project. Founding managing director Dr Matthew Painter will step down from the board and move to a newly-created role as general manager of gold with the key aim of advancing the company’s gold and other non-KNP assets.
Guido Bressani has resigned as non-executive director of Tempo Australia due to the acceptance of a new executive director role that poses a potential conflict of interest with the company.
John Sendziuk has retired as company secretary of Hot Chili, having been appointed to the position in 2010. Lloyd Flint, a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience in the corporate and financial services sector, will take over as company secretary.
