West-Perth based Black Range Minerals has appointed former-Peninsula Energy CEO Tony Simpson as its managing director.
In a statement Black Range said Mr Simpson was a mining engineer with over 40 years of industry experience, including the last two years at Peninsula where he was directly responsible for the successful exploration and permitting activities at the company's Lance uranium project in the USA.
The company said it believed Mr Simpson's experience would be of benefit as it takes its Hansen/Taylor Ranch uranium project in Colorado through feasibility studies and mine permitting.
Black Range's previous managing director Mike Haynes will stay on the company board as a non-executive director.
