After several months trading at their Collie Street address, owner/proprietor Michael Della Penna and the team behind The Gelato Company in Fremantle are moving.
While sadly a spot next to the WA Business News offices was not selected, Mr Della Penna’s wish to move his business to the cappuccino strip will finally be realised.
A location next to Elizabeth’s Bookstore has been chosen and the move will take place in the next couple of months.
A name change to Amano will see much of the rest of the business change, except the gelato, which thankfully is staying the same.

‘Feast Perth’ is East Perth’s part in the City of Perth’s City Food and Wine Festival and will culminate on Sunday March 26 with the East Perth Redevelop-ment Authority’s annual foodie extravaganza at Claisebrook Cove.
The event gathers different WA growers, producers, restaurants and wineries to its central location to create a truly diverse taste of the local food and wine landscape. While the finalé dinner at Lamont’s on the Dock is always a favourite, this year’s new event, the inaugural Miele Chefs’ Master Class Series at ABC Perth’s new East Perth studios, is sure to entice.
There will also be special demonstrations on the origins of the craft beer revolution, olive and olive oil production in WA and a synopsis of wine producing regions down south.
The Growers Gallery will feature the state’s best produce and Restaurant Row will host a cook-off between some of the most talented local chefs.
