There’s a new way to find out what are the must-see drinking, shopping and eating venues in the metro area.
Inspired by a concept well known in Melbourne, Subiaco-based Deluxe Guide Pty Ltd has launched its own ‘‘guide book’’, in the form of an easy-to-carry deck of cards.
“On the east coast it is so easy to find information...but there was nothing like that in Perth,” Deluxe Guide brand director Dominique Monteleone told Bites. “Deluxe Guide decided to tell everyone what is so good about Perth.”
The three different guides – Eat in, Drink in and Shop in – contain about 40 cards each. The cards are classified by suburbs and each card has the address, the map and the description of a venue in that suburb.
The deck cards are sold at bookshops, newsagents, visitors’ centres and the airport for $12.95.
Roaster Fiori Coffee has a couple of events coming up which will certainly educate Perthites about coffee culture.
On March 1 there’s Meet the Roaster at Tiger Tiger on Murray Street. This free event will have home roasting demonstration, coffee tasting and casual coffee chat.
Urbanistar, located off William Street, will host a coffee appreciation class on March 8, educating participants about all aspects of coffee, with tastings of international coffees included.
The class costs $15.
Owner of Fiori Coffee Kamran Nowduschani will host both events.
