Barrack Street Jetty’s Halo restaurant has secured the services of Shane Keighley, the renowned head chef at the Mullaloo Beach Hotel’s Panorama Bar & Restaurant.
Mr Keighley has been with the hotel since it was established a few years ago, helping to put the beachfront venue on the culinary map.
He has won numerous cooking awards and briefly became a celebrity chef when he was selected by the Perth contestants to run the kitchen in the second series of Channel Seven’s now defunct reality TV show, My Restaurant Rules.
Halo owner Lynn Wolkowinski says she has scored somewhat of a coup in securing the services of Mr Keighley, who she says left Panorama to head back in to the world of fine dining. Mr Keighley is a regular finalist in global cooking competitions and was selected to compete in the World Association of Chefs Society global chef competition in Dubai last year after winning the regional final.

Lamont’s in East Perth is hosting its popular ‘Dinner on the Dock’ event, which is a sight to be seen. Tables stretch from the front of riverside restaurant right up the boardwalk, with guests enjoying a night of sensational food cooked by Kate Lamont and her team. Of course, with the restaurateur also operating a winery, there will be plenty of good plonk on offer. The Dinner on the Dock was a sellout last year. This year’s event is scheduled for Friday February 29.
