ACTIVE Australia is running an extensive marketing campaign to encourage people to get active.

The Active Australia Provider Network of recreation, fitness and sport organisations, part of the State Govern-ment’s Ministry of Sport and Recreation, encour-ages the sport and physical activity industry to improve facilities for physical activity.

An AAPN spokes-person said its provider checklist helped organ-isations review their performance against seven key areas: leader-ship, planning, inform-ation, human resources, client focus, quality of service and overall performance.

“Completion of the checklist will allow an organisation to display the AAPN logo and benefit from promotional activities,” the spokes-person said.

Active Australia Day is on October 29.
