Five Western Australian venues have been recognised at the 2015 Australian Hotels Association National Awards for Excellence, held on the Gold Coast last night.
Australia's best resort is in Perth, the nation's best hotel is in the Kimberley, and the country's best bartender is Western Australian, according to the Australian Hotels Association's annual awards.
The awards ceremony, held on the Gold Coast last night, named Crown Metropol Perth as Australia's best resort-style accommodation, the Berkeley River Lodge in the Kimberley as Australia's best hotel and The Classroom's Andrew Bennett was named the nation's best bartender.
“This is the second year in a row that a Western Australian hotel has been voted the nation’s best, a trend we certainly expect to continue,” AHA WA chief executive Bradley Woods said in a statement.
“People are investing in Perth and regional WA and they are being recognised for their hard work and effort.”
Mr Woods said he looked forward to showcasing the best of WA hospitality at the AHA WA Awards for Excellence on November 16.
Last week, Crown Perth was named the WA employer of the year at the 21st annual WA Training Awards.
