Bentleys and Hall Chadwick merge

ACCOUNTING firm Bentleys MRI Perth has leapt up the pecking order of second-tier firms after merging with Hall Chadwick. The merged firm, to be known as Bentleys MRI Perth, will have 12 partners and 73 professional staff, making it the sixth largest accounting firm in Perth, accor-ding to WA Business News’ Book of Lists. The merger follows a succession of departures from Hall Chadwick, most recently in June when insolvency partners Kim Strickland and Chris Williamson left with their staff to set up a new practice trading as SimsPartners. Their departure left Hall Chadwick with just its two audit partners, Michael Hillgrove and Maurice Anghie, and 23 staff, all of whom are expected to join the merged firm.
