BankWest appoints international trade state manager

BankWest has appointed trade finance banker Wayne Harper as WA State Manager for International Trade.
Mr Harper was previously trade finance manager at Commonwealth Bank and has more than 25 years experience in commercial banking and trade finance.
BankWest head of deposits and transactional services Shane O'Connor said Mr Harper's appointment acknowledged the ongoing importance of WA for the bank's national growth aspirations.
"We have an aggressive growth strategy to become a significant force in the Australian banking industry and we are currently the fastest growing business bank in Australia.
"In our home state of WA we clearly have a head start but we are just as focused on growing our market share here as on the east coast.
