Ballard recognised for industry service

FORMER president of both the Real Estate Institute of Australia and the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia, Kareena Ballard, has been awarded the prestigious John Greig Trophy for selfless service to estate agency practice. Ms Ballard was presented with the award at the recent Australasian Best Practice Awards. The trophy, named after former president of the real estate institute of New South Wales, Australia and the International Real Estate Federation, John Greig, also recognises Ms Ballard’s qualities as a positive role model in the industry and her reputation as a leader. For more than 20 years, Ms Ballard has been a partner and manager of Quin-Ballard Real Estate Agency in Como, and since 2005 has been the managing director of the Strata Centre. Through her dual roles as chair of the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council and chair of the Review of the Property Development and Management Training Package, Ms Ballard has made a commitment to improving training in construction and property services industries. Her past awards include the REIWA Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award.
