Real estate agent Geoff Baldwin has purchased the franchise rights for the RE/MAX region in Western Australia, doubling the size of his existing realty group.
The six Geoff Baldwin Realty Group offices, with around 60 employees, will immediately merge with existing RE/MAX offices and be rebranded as RE/MAX Western Australia.
"RE/MAX is a clear leader in real estate, recognised around the world," Mr Baldwin said.
"The credibility of the brand, its international influence, and extensive resources will all be tremendous assets to our staff, as we work toward the goal of being a powerful force in Western Australia.
"I'm confident that through our alliance with RE/MAX, we'll be able to provide a higher quality service and massive exposure for our customers, and we have a medium term goal to grow to 300 staff serving WA."
RE/MAX was founded in 1973 in Denver, Colorado, by Dave and Gail Liniger, while RE/MAX Australia first started in Brisbane in 1997.
RE/MAX regional director Nick Thiele said the company was pleased to have Mr Baldwin on board, who has over 22 years experience in the local market place. He has also served as councilor and treasurer of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia.
Mr Baldwin founded his real estate group in 2007.
