The forum brought together leading industry groups, utilities and infrastructure organisations to give detailed reports on their Y2K progress.
Year 2000 steering committee chairman Maurice Newman said the briefing was a major step forward in helping make preparations for the new millennium.
“Australia is one of the first countries to provide a forum where industry delegates can air their concerns and have them anwered,” he said.
