Local chef Christopher Hiller has come up with an innovative way to avoid those little plastic and tin foil wrapped airplane dinners. Through his Burswood cafe, Food by Christopher Hiller, he has put together a food hamper to take on the plane. It’s called the ‘Virgin Hamper’ and is obviously pitched to Virgin Blue flyers, who have to order and pay for their airplane food during the flight. The hamper includes consists a leg ham cheese tomato and basil pesto sandwich, fresh fruit salad, muesli cookie, cheese selection with dried fruit, nuts and crackers. And it can be picked up on the way to the airport.
