BC Iron has appointed former BHP Billiton executive Peter Wilshaw as a non-executive director.
BC Iron has appointed former BHP Billiton executive Peter Wilshaw as a non-executive director.
Mr Wilshaw has more than 30 years’ experience in the resources sector, including stints as chief executive of Guinea Alumina Corporation, and BHP Billiton Aluminum Australia president and chief operating officer.
He most recently served as BHP Billiton Iron Ore vice-president logisitics and infrastructure.
Mr Wilshaw is a board member of the Dampier Port Authority and has previously served on the board of the Port Hedland Port Authority.
"Peter's experience with iron ore logistics, in the development of greenfields operations and his strategic thinking will be invaluable as we assess other growth opportunities both locally and internationally," BC Iron chairman Tony Kiernan said.
The board will now be comprised of one executive director and six non-executive directors, five of whom are deemed to be independent.
