International medical services company B.Braun has secured a $44.2 million state government contract for the supply of volumetric infusion pumps and administration sets to Western Australian public healthcare units.

B.Braun beat 28 other submissions to secure the contract.

International medical services company B.Braun has secured a $44.2 million state government contract for the supply of volumetric infusion pumps and administration sets to Western Australian public healthcare units.

The volumetric infusion pumps and administration sets are used for the intravenous delivery of medications, fluids, and nutrients to patients in a hospital setting.

The contract has an initial expiry date of June 2023, with a final expiry date of June 2026.

The state government was considering awarding one contract for adult and paediatric patients and one for neonatal requirements.

However, B.Braun beat 28 other submissions to secure a contract encompassing all patients.

Germany-based B.Braun’s Australian headquarters is located in NSW.
