WA journalists, photographers and editors have been recognised for their role in breaking down negative stereotypes about senior people in the 2000 Seniors’ Media Awards.
The West Magazine’s Patrick Cornish won the metropolitan print category, Esperance Express’ Bettina Bowling won the regional print award, while The West Australian’s Barry Baker took out the pictorial print award.
The student category was won by Curtin Independent’s Peter Ker, the television category by Channel Nine’s Mark McGill, and the radio category by Curtin Radio 927’s Pieta O’Shaughnessy.
