Western Australian Citizen of the Year

The 31st annual WA Citizen of the Year awards are now open, with nine categories - Arts, Culture & Entertainment; Industry & Commerce; Community Service; Youth; The Professions; Sport; the Gold Swan Award for an outstanding voluntary service organisation; the Syd Donovan Youth Arts Award; and the Governor’s Award for Regional Development.

Nominations close April 11.

The 2003 awards are sponsored by Burswood International Resort Casino; The Western Australian Club; Department of Local Government and Regional Development; Kailis Australian Pearls; Jackson McDonald Barristers & Solicitors; Bell-Vista Fruit & Vegetable Company; Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University in partnership with Black Swan Theatre Company, West Australian Ballet and West Australian Opera; Department of Community Development – Youth; and Alcoa.
