The Western Australian Branch of the Australian Steel Institute (ASI) has been awarded the Senses Foundation’s highest honour – the Teresa Way Award – for its generous contribution to people who are deafblind. Senses Foundation chief executive Debbie Karasinski said the ASI had donated more than $23,000 in proceeds from its 2004 Annual Golf Day to the Foundation, and would continue to support the organisation in this way for the next three years.
