Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Golden Gecko Awards
Nominations can be submitted for activities including innovation, community involvement and public awareness, exploration, waste management, employee awareness, and prospecting.

Honorary Freeman of the City of Subiaco
Jim McGeough, former City of Subiaco Town Clerk and engineer. Over 20 years, Mr McGeough initiated or oversaw the implementation of recycling, waste management, drainage upgrade, street scape improvement, after-hours child care and underground power line programs. Mr McGeough is the third individual to receive this title. Gabriel Dadour (1986) and Richard Diggins (1989) are the city’s other two honorary freemen.

Macquarie Bank Perpetual Trophy
Ferngrove Vineyards Cossack Riesling 2002, for Best Wine of the Show at the 2003 Macquarie Bank Sydney Royal Wine Show. The Cossack Riesling 2002 also took home the Best White Table Wine of the Show and the Best Young White Table Wine of the Show awards. This screwcap wine is named after rare orchids that grow in the Ferngrove Vineyards in the Frankland River region 360 kilometres south of Perth.
Rural Industries R&D Corporation Rural Women's Award
Erica Starling, Geraldton-based fish export manager. Ms Starling manages her own company, which packages, distributes and sells tuna and swordfish. Runner-up: Suzanne Woods, Calingiri, broad acre farmer producing high quality flour from soft wheat.
South West (WA) Small Business Awards

WA Youth Awards
Entries are open to Western Australians aged between 13 and 25 years, and nominations can be made on an individual basis, through secondary schools and other organisations, or via existing youth award programs, including those conducted by the Lions Club, Silver Chain, and Rotary.
