On Monday April 11 the Australian Gold Council will host its Australian Gold Forum at the Duxton Hotel.
The forum’s inaugural theme, A Golden Renaissance, will facilitate discussion and debate between gold industry leaders and stakeholders on the issues of primary importance to their respective organisations.
Presentations will cover a range of ‘big-picture’ issues impacting the Australian and global gold industry including the industry’s future prospects, gold investment, grassroots exploration and the industry’s social and environmental responsibilities.
Speakers at the forum will include Newmont Australia chairman and managing director John Dow, AngloGold Ashanti chief executive officer Bobby Godsell, Oxiana Resources managing director Owen Hegarty, BMO Nesbitt Burns managing director precious metals Geoff Stanley, World Wildlife Fund Australia senior policy officer Michael Rae, Newmont Mining Corporation director of environmental affairs John Mudge, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada director of regulatory affairs David Comba, and Ernst and Young managing partner Michael Minosora.
