So we are now a riskier bet then South Africa for business. This guy is not serious surely - or maybe he is equating risk with under regimes where you can do whatever you want because there is less or no regulation or legislation. And this is moaning and groaning in the middle of the best boom in gold prices for a while!

Sara, I respectfully suggest you read the article again, slowly, right to the end.

Sara-I admire your patriotism and largely concur with your sentiments re some comparisons but when have headlines ever been about balance? They exist mainly as attention getters. Enough from me-people may get ideas!

Thanks Terry. I have read the article a few times before writing and Mr Cutifani cannot talk of balance after first saying there is more soverign risk here than Zuma led SA. What grabs the headline is the first utterance and subsequent attempts to balance does not take away from the comments. Case in point is WA Business News has headlined the article Australia riskier that South Africa - not with a comment within brackets ( but still a great place to do business) - everyone is entitled to their opinions but such comments does not help our national interest.
