Australia-Japan bilateral trade

THE implementation of Australia-Japan Trade and Economic Framework is off to a good start, according to Trade Minister Mark Vaile, with both countries signing a framework on the mutual recognition of engineers and an Investment Memorandum of Understanding.

It’s expected a framework for cooperation in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and e-commerce will be signed shortly.

Mr Vaile was speaking following the first meeting of the Australia-Japan Trade and Economic Framework’s Joining Consultative Committee of official on Trade and Investment (JCC) in Tokyo.
