Australand to release best Port Coogee lots

Australand Ltd is set to release another 12 premium marina lots with ocean views at its $900 million Port Coogee development, following the sell-out success of "The Peninsula" land release last month.

With over 800 people in attendance, Australand successfully auctioned 28 blocks of land at The Peninsula for a total of $78 million, in what is thought to have been the highest value achieved for a single project auction in Australia.

The announcement of the new marina release, to be known as "Bluewater", is expected to attract the same level of demand.

Australian executive general manager, residential division, Peter Burke said the Bluewater lots ranged in size from 245 square metres to 368sqm and were located at the southern end of the Port Coogee development crescent on waterfront reserve land at the Cockburn Sound.

"The quality of the Port Coogee offering and the position of these lots is unsurpassed. Bluewater lots have arguably the best outlook of all the blocks with 180 degree uninterrupted views across the Indian Ocean to Rottnest and Garden Island," he said.

Just 18 kilometres from Perth CBD, Port Coogee offers a range of living options and will feature a unique variety of homes, apartments and other buildings in the Marina Village flanked by two massive seawalls constructed out of 650,000 tonnes of armour limestone rock.

Australand is currently seeking expressions of interest for the Bluewater lots with offers closing at 12 noon (WDT) Monday 17 December 2007.
