Construction and engineering company AusGroup has announced a pair of new fabrication works packages in Western Australia; one for Chevron’s $43 billion Gorgon project, and another for CSBP’s ammonium nitrate expansion project in Kwinana.
AusGroup announced yesterday that its subsidiary, AGC Industries, had secured a fabrication works package at Gorgon, taking its forward order book up to $280 million.
Under the Gorgon deal, AGC will fabricate post metrology subsea spools, with work to commence immediately.
AGC expects to employ 60 staff on the contract.
AGC said today it had also won a $26 million contract for fabrication, supply and installation work at CSBPs ammonium nitrate plant in Kwinana.
AGC will be responsible for all structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works associated with the plant’s prilling facility.
“AGC are pleased to have been awarded this contract along with the opportunity to continue our relationship with CSBP following our contracts for CSBP’s previous expansion of their ammonium nitrate production facility and the CSBP prill plant project,” managing director Laurie Barlow said.
The CSBP contract takes AusGroup’s forward order book to $306 million.
