St George Bank's WA-run financial planning and platform provider Sealcorp Holdings is to adopt the name of its key product range calling itself Asgard Wealth Solutions. "We have repositioned the brand so it is more reflective of our new strategy of 'enabling advice'. What I mean by this is that we will provide financial planners with the full range of products and services that will help them deliver top quality advice to investors, and in this way grow profitable practices," said Geoff Lloyd, Asgard Wealth Solution's chief executive officer to online financial planning new provider Financial Standard News. Apart from the Asgard range, Sealcorp also had two other key brands - the dealer group Securitor and the Assirt software. Securitor will remain as an Asgard brand but Assirt will be phased out. But Lloyd said that financial planners found that having several key brands made it "too complicated and difficult" for them to explain the group's services to their clients. "Planners told us we could make their jobs easier by simplifying our brand structure," The Asgard platform is the fifth largest platform provider, with $23.4 billion of funds under management.
