WESTERN Australian businessman Rory Argyle has been awarded the top honour from the Australian Institute of Company Directors for his wide ranging achievements in business and in the community. The AICD WA Gold Medal Award recognises Mr Argyle’s contribution to economic progress, corporate governance and not-for-profit organisations through his roles as chairman of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation, the Murdoch University Law School Building Appeal, St Georges College and his directorship of Scitech. Mr Argyle was former president of the WA Law Society and chairman of the WA Division of the Taxation Institute of Australia. He has also held directorships with Woodside Petroleum Ltd and Aurora Gold.
