Brockman Resources has appointed former Aquila Resources executive Russell Tipper as its new chief executive.
Mr Tipper, who has been Aquila’s general manager – iron ore for more than four years, will commence with Brockman on March 1.
A mining engineer, Mr Tipper has more than 30 years experience in the industry, including senior management and operational roles.
“Russell is a highly-credentialed mining industry executive with a distinguished career to date in delivering iron ore project feasibility studies, rail and port infrastructure solutions and operational management,” Brockman chairman Peter Luk said.
“He is uniquely qualified to assume leadership of the Brockman team at this critical time in its transition to iron ore producer.”
At close of trade today Brockman shares nudged up 0.5 per cent, to finish at $2.11.
