Golfers can create a profile and then the app matches them with other players based on average score, handicap (optional), skill, course and game type.
Golf Instructors can use the app to connect their students to games and to arrange lessons as suitable times.
Golf courses can promote up to 10 offers across 14 categories, helping to increase the yield across all areas of their business.
Who? Get in The Hole Golf was started by Mike Bullen, former student of the Founders Institute (season one).
He developed the functional specs for the website and mobile app while also working on the business development and customer acquisition sides of the business. While the marketing is managed internally, development has been outsourced to a mobile team.
$/news/market Mr Bullen says he has bootstrapped the development of the app and current marketing and is looking for additional investment to help scale and consolidate the social golf network in Australia.
Future plans include expanding into New Zealand and up into Asia, with a long-term goal of entering the US and UK markets.
