Social Ventures Australia has appointed Jen Ehlers to lead its WA office. Ms Ehlers joins the organisation with over 20 years’ experience as a management consultant, entrepreneur and teacher. She previously worked on the performance improvement advisory team at EY. Ms Ehlers is chair of Ngala.
Peter Bradford is the newly elected president of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies, replacing Will Robinson who held the role for 10 years. Mr Bradford is the managing director of Independence Group and was vice president of AMEC for two years. He had worked internationally and across Australia in gold, nickel, copper and mineral sands operations.
Kingsrose Mining has undergone a management restructure. Chief financial officer Karen O'Neill has been appointed as chief executive and interim chief executive Stuart Bodey, who was seconded from an external consulting firm, will remain a consultant. Mining engineer John Nguyen will be site general manager. Financial controller Chloe Lam will become chief financial officer.
Azure Capital has promoted Harrison Moore to partner. Mr Moore is a corporate adviser with a focus on M&A and capital raisings in the mining, oil and gas and financial services sectors. He previously worked at Aquila Resources and Ernst and Young. Mr Moore is a qualified chartered accountant and has completed a Master of Applied Finance.
Jimmy Trpcevski has been promoted to equity partner at insolvency and business turnaround firm Jirsch Sutherland. Mr Trpcevski has over 15 years’ experience in corporate and personal insolvencies. He joined the firm in 2005 after working as an accountant at SimsPartners and Moore Stephens. While working at Jirsch Sutherland, he has been appointed an external administrator for a number of complex cases including Mias Bakery and Scarborough Beach Bar.
Luke Sizer has joined GRA Partners as associate director corporate communications. Mr Sizer brings more than 10 years’ experience in media, communications and business development in sectors, including government, resources, consumer, sporting, not-for-profit and hospitality. He most recently worked for the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies as its membership and business development manager.
