Jane Lothian has been hired as state director WA head of asset management in Savills Australia’s Perth office. Ms Lothian was most recently employed as CBRE’s general manager at Cloisters, where she supervised property and facility management. With more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry, Ms Lothian has held senior management positions with JLL and Knight Frank.
Judith Uren is joining the board of engineering consultancy Pritchard Francis as a non-executive director. Ms Uren is a civil engineer and has led infrastructure projects in the transport, resources, and oil and gas sectors. She works as a director of JGU Consulting and previously worked at BG&E. Ms Uren also sits on the board of the Pilbara Ports Authority.
City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts has been elected president of WA Local Government Association. Ms Roberts replaces former president Lynne Craigie after her four-year term ended. Ms Roberts has been mayor for nine years and a councillor since 2003. Shire of Morawa president Karen Chappel, who has held her position since 2009, was elected as deputy president of WALGA.
ABN Group has appointed Jason Thomson as general manager of PACT Construction. Mr Thomson has previously worked as general manager building, southern region at John Holland and a regional director at Multiplex after joining the company in 2007. He has been a senior manager involved in the delivery of a number of large projects in Perth, including Optus Stadium and Crown Towers.
The Nationals WA have elected member for Moore Shane Love as deputy leader. After being elected to parliament in 2013, Mr Love has served two terms as the member for Moore and was recently the Nationals’ whip. He spent 12 years as a local government councillor and was shire president of Dandaragan between 2004 and 2013.
Chris West has joined financial consultancy Smooth Retirement as a member of the company’s advisory panel. Mr West is the chief investment officer at WA Super, where he has worked since 2013. Smooth Retirement is a specialist equity release advice and funding service for retirees established in 2017.
HHG Legal Group has appointed Richard Crane as special counsel and Sue Holgate as senior associate in its family and de facto law team. Mr Crane, who most recently worked at Friedman Lurie Singh & D’Angelo, will be based at the firm’s Joondalup office and Ms Holgate, former partner at Lewis Blyth & Hooper, will work in the Mandurah office. Erin Papalia has been promoted within the family and de facto law team to associate.
Kylie Groves has been appointed legal consultant workplace law at MinterEllison. She most recently worked as partner in charge of the Perth office at Hall & Wilcox and has also worked for Squire Patton Boggs.
AusCann Group Holdings has appointed Marc Russo as its chief medical advisor, replacing Danial Schecter. Dr Russo established the multidisciplinary Hunter Pain Clinic in 1999 and has since treated over 20,000 patients. He is chair of the NSW Regional Committee of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
