Our weekly appointments wrap includes Margaret Doherty, Clint Ford, Shane Buise, Jakkie Skinner, Samantha Tough, Peter Clough and Kim Horne

The Mental Health Advisory Council will be chaired by Margaret Doherty. Ms Doherty is the founder and conveyor of Mental Health Matters 2 and previously sat on the council as a board member from 2011 to 2018. She is co-chair of the National Peer Support Guidelines Development Steering Committee and the Forensic Mental Health sub-network. Previously, she was the consumer/carer representative on the Review of Clinical Governance in Mental Health of public mental health services in WA. 

Access Plus WA Deaf has appointed Clint Ford as chair, Shane Buise as deputy chair and Jakkie Skinner as treasurer and chair of the audit, investment and risk committee. Mr Ford has been on the board since 2015 and is managing director of lobbying and communications firm Clint Ford & Associates. Mr Buise is the financial controller of Environex International and has more than a decade of experience in commercial accounting. Ms Skinner is general manager finance at BGC Contracting.

Peter Clough has joined the Synergy board. Mr Clough has over 30 years’ experience in the energy and resources sectors and was previously general manager of government affairs at Woodside Petroleum and general secretary and executive officer of government affairs at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy. Mr Clough replaces Samantha Tough who has been on the Synergy board since 2014. Kim Horne has been reappointed to the board.
