Meriel Steadman has joined the ranks of Piper Alderman. Ms Steadman is a dispute resolution lawyer with experience in domestic and international arbitrations, mediations and expert determinations in the energy, mining and life sciences and healthcare sectors. She previously worked for Mills Oakley.
Former Australian high commissioner to Mauritius Kate O’Shaughnessy has been appointed research director at the Perth USAsia Centre. Dr O’Shaughnessy has spent the past 16 years working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She was the deputy state director of DFAT in WA and has served in Ghana, Lebanon, France and Nigeria.
David Greig will lead MACA as chief executive, following the resignation of Mike Sutton. Mr Greig has held senior leadership roles at MACA for the past six years, as chief development officer and chief operating officer. Prior to this, he worked at Emeco Group in various roles including general manager western regions.
RE/MAX Extreme has appointed Tracy Kriwopischin as business development manager to grow its property management business. Ms Kriwopischin has nearly three decades’ experience in real estate. She most recently worked for West Coast Property Training, while selling properties at HKY Real Estate. Prior to this, Ms Kriwopischin held roles at Peard Real Estate and Ray White.
Transact Capital has made Lachlan Lewis director office and metro markets. Mr Lewis joins the firm from CBRE, where he worked for two decades, including as director of the office leasing team. Previously, he was with Stanton Hillier Parker, now operating as Burgess Rawson, and JLL, after starting his career with Roy Weston in 1990.
Sean Morrison is joining APP as manager, property advisory for WA. Mr Morrison will lead the firm’s property advisory team to expand its presence in the state. He has 14 years’ experience working in the property and urban planning sectors at Urbis. Starting as a consultant in town planning at the firm, Mr Morrison worked his way up to become associate director future state (strategic advisory).
