The City of Perth has approved a $2.8 million apartment complex to be developed on Mount Street near Kings Park.
The building will comprise 20 serviced apartments, and will be the second development in Perth to feature a car stacking system.
Deputy Lord Mayor Janet Davidson says the proposed development will add a fresh architectural perspective to the long established residential and apartment locality.
“The Council recognised the need to ensure a high standard development which complements the streetscape and historic residential character of the area,” Cr Davidson said.
“With that in mind, the City has worked closely with the developer and the Council has stipulated that a management plan be in place for the serviced apartments covering such aspects as the opening hours for guest check-ins, noise control, type of room service to be offered and security of guests and visitors.
The development site is currently vacant.
