Amity Oil has farmed into to the Porters Creek prospect in Wharton County, Texas, just days after it announced it had farmed into the nearby Wilbeck Prospect.
Amity announced on November 23 that it was taking a 25 per cent interest in Porters Creek, which will be operated by Meuller Exploration.
The prospect has an estimated reserve potential of between 11 billion cubic feet and 22 BCF of gas and up to 1.5 million barrels of oil.
Amity is paying 33.3 per cent of the initial well costs and $US54,000 for its 25 per cent interest.
Antares Energy will also hold a 25 per cent interest in the prospect.
On November 19 it announced the conclusion of farm-in negotiations to take a 20 per cent stake in the Wilbeck prospect
Antares Energy also holds a 20 per cent stake in that prospect.
The Wilbeck prospect is estimated to have between five and 17 BCF of gas and 50,000 to 170,000 barrels of oil.
The Wilbeck well will be operated by Crawford Energy out of Houston Texas.
