AMCOM Telecommunications has announced that, due to strong take-up of its digital subscriber line (DSL) broadband services, it will roll-out a further 20 DSL exchanges in Perth and Adelaide.
The exchanges will be connected to Amcom’s fibre network infrastructure and take the number of Amcom DSL exchanges to a total of 35.
The Perth-based company said it has continued to experience strong growth in DSL broadband demand and the proposed rollout will more than double its ‘DSLAM footprint’, providing access to a larger customer base and extending our infrastructure reach.
The roll-out of further DSL exchanges positions the company to address the sizeable small to medium enterprise (SME) market.
The DSL exchanges will allow for the deployment of carrier grade voice over DSL as part of a competitive bundle which includes broadband, voice calls and line rental.
