THE Note was intrigued by another great milestone achieved by Perth, city of lights. According to WA fibreglass materials supplier Huntsman Composites’ newsletter (awaited eagerly each month in The Note household), Perth is now the pool capital of the world when measured on a per-capita basis. While we’re still tracking down the source of this dubious title, it makes sense in a city that receives a world-beating average of eight hours of sunlight a day. It would also be a logical win for the millionaire capital of the world … or did we lose that to Silicon Valley?
