AIRBOSS is chasing trading in selected bulk mineral and energy commodities for its business-to-business online commodity exchange.
The online exchange, which is currently being constructed, will be conducted through The Trading House.com which is being established by an AirBoss subsidiary.
The company has also finalised two key industry appointments for the new business.
It has recruited John Bylsma as TTH general manager.
Mr Bylsma has eighteen years bulk mineral commodity marketing experience with Rio Tinto subsidiary Hamersley Iron.
Former Glencore Australia executive director Peter Murphy has been appointed a TTH non-executive director.
AirBoss managing director Alexander Burns said TTH.com would become a vertical portal for the bulk mineral and energy commodities industries.
“It will combine a core trading service with a number of value added services to provide a complete solution for industry participants,” Mr Burns said.
The company is currently in discussion with a number of potential industry partners in the mining, trading, information technology and investment communities.
Mr Burns said there was increasing recognition of the potential for business-to-business e-commerce to reduce transaction costs and increase efficiency and price transparency.
