Agriculture students selected for State industry award

FIVE finalists have been chosen for this year’s Young Professionals in Agriculture Forum. The forum, organised by the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology and the Department of Agriculture Western Australia features the State’s leading students who have completed degree projects related to agriculture in the last 12 months. The five finalists each gave a 15 minute presentation at the Technology Park Function Centre Theatrette, on March 16. This year’s finalists include: • Leander McLennan; • Belinda Thomson; • Bronwyn Edmunds; • Karen Crute; and • Megan Chadwick. The forum is regarded as the premier showcase for agricultural scientists and researchers recognising excellence in the communication of undergraduate primary production and environmental research.
