MEATH Care is developing its Como aged care hostel and independent living centre to include 22 new accommodation units, a clubhouse and a hydrotherapy pool.
Meath Care bought the village at the end of 2001 from TPI an organisation made up of Western Australian war veterans.
Meath Care chief executive officer Joan Varian said 12 of the new rooms would be dedicated to the high-demand area of dementia care.
“We’ve worked hard to earn the respect of the Federal Government and we were delighted to receive an allocation for another 22 bed licences,” Ms Varian said.
