The Australian Institute of Management will host Adapting to a Changing Climate – a business leaders breakfast on Wednesday October 6 at the institute’s Floreat centre.
Keynote speaker Water Corporation chief executive officer Dr Jim Gill will address attendees on the Water Corporation’s current range of options being explored to secure water supplies for the future in Western Australia.
Dr Gill has degrees from the University of Western Australia, Cambridge and Harvard and has been the Australian Institute of Company Directors WA Division president.
The Water Corporation has taken a "security through diversity" approach to ensuring continued reliability and quality in Western Australia’s water supply.
Part of this approach includes planning for traditional water sources such as dams and groundwater as well as a number of other initiatives such as desalination, industrial water recycling, working with the community, water trading on catchment management and smarter use of water.
Registrations can be made with the Australian Institute of Management for professional members $33 and affiliate members $49.50.
